The 2019–20 Sheffield Shield season was the 118th season of the Sheffield Shield, the Australia, Australian domestic first-class cricket, first-class cricket competition. It began on 10 October 2019 and was scheduled to finish on 31 March 2020. The first four rounds took place prior to the international Test cricket, Test series Pakistani cricket team in Australia in 2019–20#Test series, against Pakistan, and in addition the season breaks for the 2019–20 Big Bash League season, Big Bash League. Henry Hunt (cricketer)
Henry James Hunt (born 7 January 1997) is an Australian cricketer, currently playing for South Australia as an opening batter. Early life Hunt grew up living on a farm near a small town between Grenfell and Cowra in New South Wales. His father, James Hunt, had played for the Canberra Raiders, a rugby league team, and built a cricket net in the backyard of their family home. Simon Douglas Fry (born 29 July 1966) is an Australian former cricket umpire. In April 2020, Fry announced his retirement from elite umpiring. Umpiring career Fry served as an international umpire in ODIs for the first time in a match between Australia and England at Adelaide on 26 January 2011. Junction Oval
Junction Oval (also known as the St Kilda Cricket Ground, or the CitiPower Centre due to sponsorship reasons) is a historic sports ground in the suburb of St Kilda in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The oval's location near the St Kilda Junction gave rise to its name. Christopher Peter Tremain (born 10 August 1991) is an Australian cricketer who plays for New South Wales in the Sheffield Shield. In cricket, a batsman is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batsman is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Tom Lexley William Cooper (born 26 November 1986) is an Australian–Dutch cricketer who played for South Australia in Australian domestic cricket and for the Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League (BBL). Thomas David Andrews (born 7 October 1994) is an Australian cricketer. He is an all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls slow left-arm orthodox deliveries. In the sport of cricket, a declaration occurs when a captain declares their team's innings closed and a forfeiture occurs when a captain chooses to forfeit an innings without batting.
