2019–20 Rutgers Scarlet Knights Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Rutgers Scarlet Knights men's basketball team represented Rutgers University–New Brunswick during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Scarlet Knights were led by fourth-year head coach Steve Pikiell and played their home games at the Louis Brown Athletic Center in Piscataway, New Jersey as sixth-year members of the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 20–11 and 11–9 in Big Ten play to finish in a four-way tie for fifth place. Following the regular season, the Big Ten tournament and all subsequent postseason tournaments were canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, effectively ending the Knights's season. In January 2020, Rutgers was nationally ranked for the first time since 1979. Steve Pikiell
Stephen Christopher Pikiell ( ; born November 21, 1967) is an American college basketball coach and since March 16, 2016, the head men's basketball coach at Rutgers Scarlet Knights men's basketball, Rutgers. Prior to Rutgers, Pikiell was the head coach at Stony Brook Seawolves men's basketball, Stony Brook for over a decade, leading the Seawolves to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2016. In 2021, Pikiell led Rutgers to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in 30 years. Early years and playing career Pikiell was born and raised in Bristol, Connecticut, and was one of nine children and graduated from St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol in 1986. The Fairfield Stags men's basketball team represents Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut and competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference of NCAA Division I. Barking Abbey School
Barking Abbey School is a secondary school and specialist sports and humanities college located in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. It serves students from the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge, and Newham. The Stony Brook Seawolves men's basketball team is the College basketball, intercollegiate men's basketball program representing Stony Brook University. Akwasi Abeyie Yeboah (born June 15, 1997) is a British professional basketball player for Trapani Shark of the Lega Basket Serie A.
