2019–20 NC State Wolfpack Women's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 NC State Wolfpack women's basketball team represented North Carolina State University during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Wolfpack were led by seventh-year head coach Wes Moore and played their home games at Reynolds Coliseum as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 27–4, 14–4 in ACC play to finish in second place. They advanced to the finals of the ACC women's tournament where they defeated Florida State to win the ACC Tournament for the first time since 1991. As winners of the conference tournament, the Wolfpack received the automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament, however due to concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic, the NCAA Tournament was canceled on March 12, 2020. Wes Moore (basketball)
Frank Weston Moore (born April 22, 1957) is an American college basketball coach who is the current women's basketball head coach at NC State Wolfpack women's basketball, NC State. A head coach at all three levels of NCAA women's college basketball since 1987, Moore has been named Coach of the Year eight times by three conferences and over 20 regular season or conference tournament championships. Moore grew up in Dallas and played college basketball at Johnson University, Johnson Bible College. He began his coaching career as a men's basketball coach at Johnson Bible in 1984. Then in 1987, Moore became head coach for a struggling women's basketball program at Maryville Scots, Maryville College and instantly turned the program into a winner, with five NCAA Division III women's basketball tournament, NCAA Division III Tournament appearances and over 130 wins in six seasons. Brookswood Secondary School is located in the community of Brookswood in Langley, British Columbia.
