2019–20 James Madison Dukes Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 James Madison Dukes men's basketball team represented James Madison University during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Dukes, led by fourth-year head coach Louis Rowe, played their home games at the James Madison University (JMU) Convocation Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia as members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). They finished the season 9–21, 2–16 in CAA play, to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the CAA tournament to Elon. On March 9, 2020, the school announced that head coach Louis Rowe would not return as head coach for the Dukes. A few weeks later, the school named Georgia Southern head coach Mark Byington the Dukes' new head coach. This was the final season the Dukes would play their home games in the JMU Convocation Center as the new Atlantic Union Bank Center will be their new home for the 2020–21 season. Louis Rowe
Louis Benton Rowe (born December 26, 1972) is an American basketball coach who most recently was the head coach of his alma mater, James Madison University, being introduced as the head coach on March 31, 2016. Rowe had been an assistant at James Madison, FIU, and Bowling Green. He played at James Madison from 1993 to 1995 after transferring from Florida. He ranks fifth on James Madison's career scoring average list. The 2018–19 Hofstra Pride men's basketball team represented Hofstra University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Pride, led by sixth-year head coach Joe Mihalich, played their home games at Mack Sports Complex in Hempstead, New York as members of the Colonial Athletic Association. Hofstra won the CAA regular season championship but lost to Northeastern in the championship game of the 2019 CAA men's basketball tournament. The Winston-Salem State Rams men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States. The Southern Connecticut Owls (also Southern Connecticut State Owls, Southern Connecticut State University Owls, and SCSU Owls) are the athletic teams that represent Southern Connecticut State University, located in New Haven, Connecticut, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports.
