2019–20 Fordham Rams Women's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Fordham Rams women's basketball team represented Fordham University during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Rams were led by ninth-year head coach Stephanie Gaitley. They were members of the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) and played their home games at the Rose Hill Gymnasium in the Bronx, New York. They finished the season 21–11, 11–5 in A-10 play. Fordham lost the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament championship game to VCU Rams women's basketball, VCU, 55–60. Stephanie Gaitley
Stephanie Gaitley (née Vanderslice; born January 25, 1960) is an American basketball coach and the current head basketball coach of the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights women's basketball team. She has served as head basketball coach at Fordham University, Monmouth University, and Long Island University (LIU). During her six seasons at LIU, she posted a 95–82 record. In 2007, she guided LIU to a school record 22 wins, and the top overall seed in the NEC tournament. She was named the 2006–07 Northeast Conference (NEC) Women's Basketball Coach of the Year for her efforts. She led LIU to two 20-plus-win seasons, and the first WNIT appearance in school history. She also served as the head basketball coach at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. She led the Hawks to five 20-win seasons, and two Atlantic 10 championships, as well as five NCAA tournament appearances. She also coached at the University of Richmond from 1985 to 1991. Bryce Jordan Center
The Bryce Jordan Center is a 15,261-seat multi-purpose arena in College Township, Pennsylvania, on the University Park campus of the Pennsylvania State University. The arena opened on January 6, 1996, and is the largest such indoor venue in Pennsylvania outside of those in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The arena replaced Rec Hall as the home to the Nittany Lions men's and women's basketball and the Pride of the Lions Pep Band and its student section, known as Legion of Blue. The arena also periodically host concerts, circuses, and commencement ceremonies for the arena university. The arena is named after Bryce Jordan, Penn State University's president from 1983 until 1990 who was instrumental in acquiring funding needed to build it.
