2019–20 Football Superleague Of Kosovo
The 2019–20 Football Superleague of Kosovo season, also known as the IPKO Superleague of Kosovo () for sponsorship reasons with IPKO was the 21st season of top-tier football in Kosovo. The season began on 17 August 2019 and will end on 26 July 2020. A total of 12 teams are competing in the league: ten teams from the 2018–19 season and two teams from the 2018–19 First Football League of Kosovo. Feronikeli are the defending champions from the previous season. After UEFA permission Kosovo will be represented with 3 teams in European competitions, Superleague winner will take part in Champions League while domestic league runners-up and domestic cup winner will take part in Europa League. The Football Federation of Kosovo has also announced that the current season will be the last season with 12 teams. 4 teams will be relegated to First Football League of Kosovo and 2 teams from First Football League of Kosovo will be promoted to Superleague of Kosovo to complete the 10 team ... The Football Superleague of Kosovo (), also known as the ALBI MALL Superleague of Kosovo () for sponsorship reasons with Albi Mall, is the top level of the Football in Kosovo#Men's, Kosovar football league system. The Superleague is organized by the Football Federation of Kosovo and the division currently has a 10-team format. The clubs play each other four times during the season for a 36-match schedule. At the end of the season, the bottom two teams in the division are relegated to the second tier, First Football League of Kosovo. The 2020–21 Football Superleague of Kosovo season was the 22nd season of top-tier football in Kosovo. The season began on 18 September 2020 and ended on 23 May 2021. A total of 10 teams competed in the league: eight teams from the 2019–20 season and two teams from the 2019–20 First Football League of Kosovo. Drita were the defending champions from the previous season. Teams Ten teams competed in the league – the top eight teams from the previous season and the two teams promoted from the First Football League of Kosovo. Suva Reka
Suva Reka ( sr-Cyrl, Сува Река) or Suharekë () or Therandë () is a town and municipality located in the Prizren district of central-southern Kosovo. Football Club Liria (), commonly known as Liria, is a professional football club based in Prizren, Kosovo. The club plays in the Kosovo Superleague, which is the top tier of football in the country. The club is one of the oldest and one of the most successful clubs in Kosovo. History Early years The first football arrived in Prizren in 1922 from Skopje by an unknown photograph. The Football Federation of Kosovo (; FFK) is the governing body of football in Kosovo, with headquarters in Pristina. The Football Federation of Kosovo was established in 1946 as a branch of the Football Association of Yugoslavia, it has since become independent and was headed by Fadil Vokrri until his sudden death in 2018.
