2019–20 Bowling Green Falcons Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Bowling Green Falcons men's basketball team represent Bowling Green State University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Falcons, led by 5th-year head coach Michael Huger, play their home games at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio as members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. Previous season The Falcons finished the 2018–19 season 22–12 overall, 12–6 in MAC play to finish second place in the East Division. As the No. 3 seed in the MAC tournament, they defeated Ball State in the quarterfinals, Northern Illinois in the semifinals, advancing to the championship game, where they were defeated by Buffalo. Michael Huger
Michael Anthony Huger (born June 27, 1970) is an American college basketball Coach (basketball), coach who is an assistant coach for Temple Owls men's basketball, Temple. Prior to Temple, he was the head coach for his alma mater Bowling Green Falcons men's basketball, Bowling Green Falcons team. Huger is a native of New York City, New York, New York City. Playing career He was a star player at Bowling Green from 1989 to 1993, playing under Coach Jim Larranaga. As a player at Bowling Green, Huger was named second-team all-MAC as a junior and first-team all-MAC as a senior. He is 6th all-time on BG's 3-point FG% list. He made two appearances in the National Invitational Tournament as a player. Pete Maravich Assembly Center
The Pete Maravich Assembly Center is a 13,215-seat multi-purpose arena in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The arena opened in 1972. It was originally known as the LSU Assembly Center, but was renamed in honor of Pete Maravich, a Tiger basketball legend, shortly after his death in 1988. Louisiana governor Buddy Roemer signed an act to rename the building in Maravich's honor (under Louisiana law, no LSU or state owned building may be named after a living person). Maravich never played in the arena as a collegian but played in it as a member of the Atlanta Hawks in a preseason game. 2019–20 LSU Tigers Basketball Team
The 2019–20 LSU Tigers basketball team represented Louisiana State University during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team's head coach was Will Wade, in his third season at LSU. They played their home games at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as a member of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 21–10, 12–6 in SEC play to finish in a tie for second place. They were set to be the No. 3 seed in the SEC tournament with a bye to the quarterfinals. WBGU-TV (channel 27) is a PBS member television station licensed to Bowling Green, Ohio, United States. Owned by Bowling Green State University, it is sister to college radio station WBGU (88.1 FM).
