2019 US Open – Women's Singles
Bianca Andreescu defeated Serena Williams in the final, 6–3, 7–5 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2019 US Open. It was her first Grand Slam (tennis)#Tournaments, major title. Andreescu was the first Canadian, as well as the first player born in the 2000s, to win a major singles title. She was the youngest player to win the title since Svetlana Kuznetsova in 2004 US Open – Women's singles, 2004, and the first woman to win the US Open (tennis), US Open on her main draw debut. Anna Nikolayevna Kalinskaya ( rus, Анна Николаевна Калинская, , ˈanːə kɐˈlʲinskəjə, Ru-Anna_Kalinskaya.ogg; born 2 December 1998) is a Russian professional tennis player.
