2019 U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships – Singles
Cristian Garín defeated Casper Ruud in the final, 7–6(7–4), 4–6, 6–3, to win the singles tennis title at the 2019 U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships. The win earned Garín his first career Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) singles title and made him the first Chilean ATP title holder in ten years. Ruud was also in contention to win his first ATP Tour title after reaching his first final, joining father Christian Ruud as the only two Norwegian players to reach a final at this level. Cristian Garín
Cristian Ignacio Garín Medone (; born 30 May 1996) is a Chilean professional tennis player. He has been ATP rankings, ranked as high as world No. 17 by the Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP in singles, achieved on 13 September 2021. He also has a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 206, achieved on 10 May 2021. He is currently the No. 4 player from Chile. Garín became the youngest Chilean player to win an ATP Tour match, by defeating Dušan Lajović at 16 years and 8 months old in the first round of the 2013 VTR Open. He was the winner of the 2013 French Open – Boys' singles, 2013 Junior French Open, beating Alexander Zverev in the final. Garín has won five ATP tour titles, all on clay courts. Tennys Loren Sandgren II ( ; born July 22, 1991) is an American former professional tennis player. He has achieved a career-high ATP singles ATP rankings, ranking of No. 41 on January 14, 2019. He played two years of college tennis at the University of Tennessee before launching his professional career. He broke into the top 100 of the ATP rankings toward the end of 2017 after competing mainly on the ATP Challenger Tour. Janko Tipsarević ( sr-Cyrl, Јанко Типсаревић, ; born 22 June 1984) is a Serbian tennis coach and former professional player. He is also a politician, serving as a member of the City Assembly of Belgrade since 21 June 2024. He is also a member of the populist Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). Noah Rubin (born February 21, 1996) is an American former professional tennis player. He was the 2014 Wimbledon Championships – Boys' singles, Wimbledon junior singles champion in 2014, and a former Boy's Junior National Tennis Championship, USTA junior national champion in both singles and doubles. After turning pro in 2015, he won four ATP Challenger titles. Rubin also played college tennis for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in the 2014–15 season.
