On September 25, 2019, U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone call wherein they discussed a proposed ceasefire for the Russo-Ukrainian War. The ceasefire, brokered between Russian president Vladimir Putin and Zelenskyy, was put together by French president Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
