2019 Meeting International Mohammed VI D'Athlétisme De Rabat
The 2019 Meeting International Mohammed VI d'Athlétisme de Rabat was the 12th edition of the annual outdoor track and field meeting in Rabat, Morocco. Held on 16 June at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium (1983), Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, it was the sixth leg of the 2019 IAAF Diamond League – the highest level international track and field circuit. 21 events were held with 13 of them being point-earning Diamond League disciplines. The other events were held primarily for Moroccan nationals except for the men's 1500 m and 5000 m. One of the highest quality events of the night was the women's 1500 m, won by world record holder Genzebe Dibaba in a meeting record and world leading time of 3:55.47, ahead of Sifan Hassan who record the fastest losing time in history of 3:55.93 which was also a List of Dutch records in athletics, Dutch record. 3000 m Steeplechase
The 3000 metres steeplechase or 3000-meter steeplechase (usually abbreviated as ) is the most common distance for the steeplechase in track and field. It is an obstacle race over the distance of the 3000 metres, which derives its name from the horse racing steeplechase. Rules It is one of the track events in the Olympic Games and the World Athletics Championships, and it is also an event recognized by World Athletics. Getnet Wale Bayabl (born 16 July 2000) is an Ethiopian runner specialising in the 3,000 metres steeplechase. He finished fourth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as well as at the 2019 and 2022 World Athletics Championships. Wale won the silver medal at the 2019 African Games and a bronze at the 2018 African Championships in Athletics. He earned bronze medals at the 2016 and 2018 World Under-20 Championships. In 2019, he became the Diamond League 3,000 m steeplechase champion. Wale is the current Ethiopian record holder in the indoor 3,000 metres. Omar McLeod
Omar McLeod (born 25 April 1994) is a Jamaican professional hurdler and sprinter competing in the 60 m hurdles and 110 m hurdles. In the latter event, he is the 2016 Olympic champion and 2017 World champion. He was NCAA indoor champion in the 60 m hurdles in 2014 and 2015 and outdoor champion in the 110 m hurdles in 2015; he turned professional after the 2015 collegiate season, forgoing his two remaining years of collegiate eligibility. 110 m Hurdles
The 110 metres hurdles, or 110-metre hurdles, is a hurdling track and field event for men. It is included in the athletics programme at the Summer Olympic Games. The female counterpart is the 100 metres hurdles. As part of a racing event, ten hurdles of in height are evenly spaced along a straight course of 110 metres. They are positioned so that they will fall over if bumped into by the runner. Fallen hurdles do not carry a fixed time penalty for the runners, but they have a significant pull-over weight which slows down the run. Like the 100 metres sprint, the 110 metres hurdles begins in the starting blocks. For the 110 m hurdles, the first hurdle is placed after a run-up of 13.72 metres (45 ft) from the starting line. Fedrick Dacres
Fedrick Dacres (born 28 February 1994) is a Jamaican discus thrower. He began his throwing career as a student at Calabar High School in Jamaica along with other accomplished throwers such as Chad Wright and Traves Smikle, under the guidance of former Calabar athlete coach Julian Robinson. He won a gold medal at the 2011 World Youth Championships in Athletics, becoming the first Jamaican discus thrower ever to do so. He went on to win a gold medal at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics, also becoming the first Jamaican discus thrower ever to do so.
