The 2018–19 season was Watford's 120th year in their history and fourth consecutive season in the Premier League; their 11th-placed finish in the league was their highest to date in the Premier League era. They also participated in the EFL Cup and FA Cup, reaching the final of the latter before losing to Man City. The season covers the period from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019. 2019 FA Cup Final
The 2019 FA Cup final was an association football match between Manchester City and Watford on 18 May 2019 at Wembley Stadium in London, England, and the 138th FA Cup final. It was Manchester City's eleventh appearance at the FA Cup final and Watford's second. Kevin Friend was the referee for the match played in front of 85,854 spectators. Manchester City dominated the early stages of the final. In the 21st minute Abdoulaye Doucouré's shot struck Vincent Kompany's arm in the Manchester City penalty area, but after consultation with the video assistant referee (VAR), Friend declined to award a penalty and showed Doucouré the first yellow card of the game for his subsequent protests. Adam Masina
Adam Masina (; born 2 January 1994) is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Italian club Torino, and the Morocco national team. Coming through Bologna's youth academy, Masina made his senior appearance with the club in 2012, and transferred to Watford in 2018. He was also loaned to Giacomense twice. Masina was born in Morocco but moved to Italy at a young age. He initially represented Italy at an international level of under-21, before switching to play for the Morocco national team in 2021. Ben Wilmot
Benjamin Lewis Wilmot (born 4 November 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays for club Stoke City. He primarily plays in central defence, though he can also be deployed in midfield. Wilmot began his career at Stevenage in the club's academy before breaking through into the first-team during the 2017–18 season. He subsequently signed for Watford in May 2018. Wilmot was loaned out to Serie A club Udinese in January 2019, before later joining Swansea City of the Championship on loan in July 2019.
