The 2018–19 Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball team represented Seton Hall University in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by ninth-year head coach Kevin Willard. The Pirates played their home games at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey and Walsh Gymnasium in South Orange, New Jersey as members of the Big East Conference. They finished the season 20–14, 9–9 for a 4 way tie for 3rd place. In the Big East tournament, they defeated Georgetown in the Quarterfinals, Marquette in the semifinals before losing to Villanova in the championship. They received a at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament where they lost in the First Round to Wofford. Kevin Willard
Kevin Schreiber Willard (born April 6, 1975) is an American college basketball coach and the incoming men's basketball head coach at Villanova University. Willard played basketball at Western Kentucky during the 1992–93 season before transferring to Pittsburgh to finish his playing career. Willard's father, Ralph Willard, was the associate head coach at Louisville and a former head men's basketball coach at Western Kentucky, Pittsburgh, and Holy Cross. Kevin Willard started his coaching career in the NBA ranks, working on the bench with coach Rick Pitino of the Boston Celtics. After Pitino resigned from the Celtics in 2001, Willard followed him to Louisville, and spent the next six years there as his assistant. He is the former head coach of Iona College, where he took over the reins after Jeff Ruland was fired after going 2–28 in 2007. Jordan Walker (basketball)
Jordan "Jelly" Walker (born August 11, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for Promitheas Patras of the Greek Basketball League (GBL). He played college basketball for the Seton Hall Pirates, Tulane Green Wave and UAB Blazers. High school career Walker grew up in Port Washington, New York. He began his high school career at Long Island Lutheran High School. Dissatisfied with the lack of playing time there, he transferred to The Patrick School after his sophomore year. Walker averaged 9.7 points per game for the Celics as a junior. As a senior, he averaged 11.9 points and 4.8 assists per game, leading the team to a 29–4 record and earning First Team All-State honors from NJHoops.com. Khadeen Carrington
Khadeen Akil Reynold Jr Carrington (; born October 3, 1995) is an Israeli-Trinidadian-American basketball player for Hapoel Jerusalem of the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He also plays for the Israel men's national basketball team. He played college basketball for Seton Hall. The son of former professional soccer player and coach Reynold Carrington, he starred at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School in Brooklyn, New York. The 2018 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 68 teams to determine the men's National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college basketball national champion for the 2017–18 season.
