The 2018–19 Santa Clara Broncos men's basketball team represented Santa Clara University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Broncos were led by third-year head coach Herb Sendek and played their home games at the Leavey Center as members of the West Coast Conference. Previous season The Broncos finished the 2017–18 season 11–20, 8–10 in WCC play to finish in seventh place. They lost in the first round of the WCC tournament to Pepperdine. Herb Sendek
Herbert Joseph Sendek Jr. (born February 22, 1963) is an American college basketball coach who is the current men's basketball head coach at Santa Clara. Early life Herbert Joseph Sendek Jr. grew up in Pittsburgh and attended Penn Hills High School. He starred as a point guard in basketball, lettering two years, serving as team captain, and earning All-East Suburban honors. He graduated with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average and was valedictorian of the Class of 1981. Sendek's father, Herb Sr., was a teacher and basketball coach at both the high school and junior college levels. Sendek is of Slovak descent. College career He played college basketball at Carnegie Mellon University, where he was a three-year letterman. Keshawn Justice (born October 22, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for Cholet Basket of LNB Pro A. He played college basketball for the Santa Clara Broncos. Clovis, California
Clovis is a city in Fresno County, California, United States. It was established in 1890 as a freight stop for the San Joaquin Valley Railroad by a group of Fresno businessmen and Michigan railroad speculator Marcus Pollasky.
