2018–19 KK Crvena Zvezda Season
The 2018–19 season was the 74th Crvena zvezda season in the existence of the club. The team played in the Basketball League of Serbia, in the Adriatic League and in the EuroCup. Crvena zvezda won their first Adriatic Supercup trophy, the fourth Adriatic League Championship, and the 20th National Championship. Overview In summer 2018 the team started with signing Milan Tomić as a head coach. Soon to follow were the players Billy Baron, Michael Ojo and two centers from Radonjić era: Maik Zirbes and Dušan Ristić. Zvezda also added experienced Stratos Perperoglou and Mouhammad Faye, as well as point guard Joe Ragland. The last one to sign was combo guard Nemanja Nenadić from development team FMP. After the end of the 2017–18 season, Stefan Janković decided to part ways with Crvena zvezda even though he was under contract with them, with both parties having different views on his contract status. Nebojša Čović ( sr-Cyrl, Небојша Човић; born 2 July 1958) is a Serbian businessman, basketball executive, and politician. Since 2011, he has been serving as the president of . Early years and education Čović was born in Belgrade, PR Serbia, FPR Yugoslavia, and graduated from the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. In 2000, he obtained his PhD at the same university. Political career In 1992, as a member of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), 34-year-old Čović started his climb up the political ladder with a position of executive board vice-president in charge of economy and finances at the Belgrade city assembly. The 2019–20 KK Crvena zvezda season was the 75th season in the existence of KK Crvena zvezda, the club. For the season it is referred to as KK Crvena zvezda mts for sponsorship reasons. The club played in the 2019–20 ABA League First Division, Adriatic League and the 2019–20 EuroLeague, EuroLeague, which were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe, COVID-19 pandemic. The season in the Basketball League of Serbia had no start due to the same reason. Michael Olalekan Ojo (January 5, 1993 – August 7, 2020) was a Nigerian-American professional basketball player. After competing in college basketball for the Florida State Seminoles, he played professionally for three seasons with Serbian clubs FMP and Crvena zvezda.
