2018–19 Illinois State Redbirds Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Illinois State Redbirds men's basketball team represented Illinois State University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Redbirds, led by seventh-year head coach Dan Muller, played their home games at Redbird Arena in Normal, Illinois as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference. They finished the season 17–16, 9–9 in conference play, to finish in a tie for the fifth place. As the number seven seed in the MVC tournament, they defeated Evansville in the opening round and were beaten by Drake in the quarterfinal round. Previous season The Redbrids finished the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season 18–15, 10–8 in MVC play, to finish in a tie for third place. They were the number three seed and defeated Missouri State in their quarterfinal game and Southern Illinois in their semifinal game to advance to the championship game of the MVC tournament where they lost to Loyola–Chicago. Dan Muller (basketball)
Daniel Paul Muller (born February 21, 1976) is an American college basketball coach, formerly the men's basketball head coach at his alma mater Illinois State University. Biography Muller was born in Lafayette, Indiana to parents Cliff and Tricia. He attended Lafayette Central Catholic High School, graduating in 1994. After high school, Muller attended Illinois State University. On the Illinois State Redbirds men's basketball team, Muller played as a forward from 1994 to 1998 under head coach Kevin Stallings. In his sophomore season, the team finished second in the MVC regular season, and fell to Tulsa in the semifinals of the conference tournament. They earned a bid to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT), where they advanced to the quarterfinals before falling to Tulane. Lake Land College is a public community college in Mattoon, Illinois. It was founded in 1966. As of the Fall 2023 semester Lake Land serves 3,699 students, mainly from the east-central Illinois region. Uis is a settlement located in the Erongo Region, Namibia. It belongs to the Dâures electoral constituency. Located in the former Damaraland, it is known for the local mineral wealth.
