2018–19 Conference USA Men's Basketball Season
The 2018–19 Conference USA men's basketball season began with practices in October 2018, followed by the start of the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play began in late December and concluded in early March. Old Dominion won the C-USA regular season championship by two games. The conference used a regular season schedule format which the conference hoped will increase NCAA Tournament berths. whereby the 14 teams played each other once with a second game for travel partners in the first seven weeks of C-USA play. After those 14 games, the league standings determined the matchups for the rest of the regular season. The teams were divided into two groups of five (teams in first through fifth place and 6–10) and a group of four (11–14). NCAA Division I
NCAA Division I (D-I) is the highest division of intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States, which accepts players globally. Tim Floyd
Timothy Fitzpatrick Floyd (born February 25, 1954) is a former American college basketball coach, most recently the head coach at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He was formerly the head coach of several teams in the NCAA and the NBA. Floyd is also known as the coach of the Chicago Bulls for four seasons. He announced his retirement from coaching after the UTEP game on November 27, 2017. Michael Curry (basketball)
Michael Edward Curry (born August 22, 1968) is an American professional basketball coach and former player. He was most recently an assistant coach for the Vanderbilt Commodores. Curry played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1993 to 2005. He later served as head coach of the Detroit Pistons. College career A 6'5" guard/ forward from Glenn Hills High School in Augusta, Georgia, Curry played four seasons at Georgia Southern University. With the Eagles, he averaged 9.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists over his four-year collegiate career. Florida Atlantic Owls Men's Basketball
The Florida Atlantic Owls men's basketball team represents Florida Atlantic University and competes in the American Athletic Conference of NCAA Division I college basketball. Their home games are played on the Abessinio Court in the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena on the school's Boca Raton, Florida campus. Ron Sanchez
Ron Sanchez is a college basketball coach who most recently served as the interim head coach for the Virginia Cavaliers men's basketball team. He was appointed interim head coach in October 2024 following Tony Bennett's surprise retirement. Houston Fancher
Houston Fancher (born February 17, 1966) is an American basketball coach, previously the interim head coach of the Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team. Prior to that, he worked for a summer in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Later, he also worked for four years at the University of Tennessee, including as the Director of Basketball Operations for the last two of those years. The Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team represents the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) in NCAA Division I basketball.
