2018–19 Central Coast Mariners FC Season
The 2018–19 season was the 14th season for Central Coast Mariners FC since its establishment in 2004. The club participated in the A-League for the 14th time and the FFA Cup for the fifth time. Review The Mariners were defeated in the first round of the 2018 FFA Cup by Adelaide United. This season saw the appointment of Mike Mulvey as head coach following the departure of Paul Okon late in the previous season. Mike Mulvey lasted only until round 21 before becoming the forth coach sacked in 5 seasons. In the transfer window, the club re-signed two former players: all-time top scorer Matt Simon and New Zealand midfielder Michael McGlinchey. In pre-season, Jamaican Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt also came to the club to train on an indefinite basis. Central Coast Mariners Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Gosford, on the Central Coast (New South Wales), Central Coast of New South Wales. Tommy Oar
Thomas Michael Oar (born 10 December 1991) is a retired Australian professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Born on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Oar played youth football for Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach and at the Queensland Academy of Sport before making his professional debut for Brisbane Roar in 2008. He joined Dutch club FC Utrecht in 2010, making over 100 appearances for the side before moving to England to play for Ipswich Town in 2015. Andrew James Hoole (born 22 October 1993) is an Australian semi-professional Association football, football (soccer) player who last played as a Winger (association football), winger for Broadmeadow Magic FC, Broadmeadow Magic in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW. Tom Jan Hiariej (; born 25 July 1988) is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder or right-back. He is of Moluccan descent. Club career The son of a Moluccan father and a Dutch mother, he made his professional first team debut in 2007 with Eredivisie side FC Groningen under long-time head coach Ron Jans. Jonathan Aspropotamitis (born 7 June 1996) is an Australian professional footballer who plays for the Pohang Steelers. Career Western Sydney Wanderers Aspropotamitis made his professional debut on 11 March 2015 vs Melbourne City FC in a 3–2 victory for the Western Sydney Wanderers at Pirtek Stadium. Benjamin Kennedy (born 14 February 1987) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Lambton Jaffas in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW.
