The men's team tournament of the 2018 World Team Table Tennis Championships was held from 29 April to 6 May 2018. The draw for the tournament was held at 27 February 2018. China defeated Germany in the final to capture the gold medal. Wong Chun-ting (; born 7 September 1991) is a Hong Kong table tennis player. He won his first doubles title on the ITTF World Tour in 2012 and won another three doubles titles in 2014. In 2015, he won a bronze medal in mixed doubles event with Doo Hoi Kem at the World Championships. In 2016, he won a bronze medal in the singles event at the Men's World Cup. Omar Muhammadi Muhammad Muhammad Assar (born 22 July 1991) is an Egyptian table tennis player. He won silver in singles and gold in team play at the 2011 Arab Games in Doha. Muhammad (8 June 632 CE) was an Arab religious and political leader and the founder of Islam.
