Skåne County or Region Skåne () held a regional council election on 9 September 2018, on the same day as the general and municipal elections. Results The number of seats remained at 149 with the Social Democrats winning the most at 41, a drop of ten from 2014. Skåne County ( ), sometimes referred to as Scania County or just Scania in English, is the southernmost Counties of Sweden, county, or , of Sweden, mostly corresponding to the traditional Provinces of Sweden, province of Scania. Bjuv Municipality
Bjuv Municipality () is a municipality in Skåne County in South Sweden in southern Sweden. Its seat is located in the town of Bjuv. The amalgamations connected to the 1971 local government reform in Sweden took place in this area in 1974, when "old" ''Bjuv'' (a market town (''köping'') since 1946) was amalgamated with ''Billesholm'' and ''Ekeby''. History The municipal arms depicts a mining torch lighting up a dark area. The reason is that Bjuv Municipality has had a coal mining industry since the 18th century. Landskrona Municipality () is a Municipalities of Sweden, municipality in Scania County in Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Landskrona. The island of Ven, Sweden, Ven was added to the ''City of Landskrona'' in 1959. The amalgamations leading to the present municipality took place in 1967, 1969 and 1974. Kristianstad Municipality
Kristianstad Municipality () is a municipality in Skåne County in southernmost Sweden. Its seat is located in the city Kristianstad. The present municipality was created in three steps during the last nationwide local government reform, and it has the largest area of the municipalities of Skåne County. In 1967 a number of rural municipalities were merged into the ''City of Kristianstad''. In 1971 more former units were added and the city became a unitary municipality. Höör Municipality
Höör Municipality () is a municipality in the central part of Skåne County in southern Sweden. Its seat is located in the town of Höör. The present municipality was formed in 1969 through the merger of "old" Höör with the municipalities of Norra Frosta, Snogeröd and Tjörnarp parish from the dissolved Sösdala Municipality. Geography Höör Municipality credits itself by being different from the rest of Scania: Apart from agricultural areas, Höör Municipality also has several forests and the lake Ringsjön. Höganäs Municipality () is one of 290 municipalities of Sweden, in Skåne County in the southern part of the country. Its seat is located in the city of Höganäs. The rural municipality Höganäs, in which the first ''municipalsamhälle'' (a kind of borough managing matters of urban character) of Sweden had been established in 1875, received the title of a city in 1936. Helsingborg Municipality
Helsingborg Municipality () is a municipality in Scania County in Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Helsingborg, which is Sweden's eighth-largest city. The municipality had a population of 147,734 on 1 January 2019 and the metropolitan area has about 320,000 inhabitants. Between 1912 and 1971 the name of the town was officially spelled Hälsingborg (rather like the region of Hälsingland but unlike neighbouring Danish Helsingør and the Finnish capital Helsingfors (Helsinki)). Eslöv Municipality
Eslöv Municipality () is one of 290 municipalities of Sweden, situated in Skåne County in southern Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Eslöv. The present municipality was created in 1971, when the former ''City of Eslöv'' was amalgamated with a number of surrounding municipalities, most of them created by the earlier nationwide local government reform in 1952.
