2018 Louisville Cardinals Men's Soccer Team
The 2018 Louisville Cardinals men's soccer team represented University of Louisville during the 2018 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The Cardinals were led by head coach Ken Lolla, in his thirteenth season. They played home games at Lynn Stadium. This was the team's 40th season playing organized men's college soccer and their 5th playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Background The 2017 Louisville Cardinals team had a record of 13–2–5 overall and 5–2–1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The team received a bye into the quarterfinals of the 2017 ACC Men's Soccer Tournament before losing to Virginia on penalties. The Carindals earned an at-large bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Akron. Ken Lolla
Ken Lolla is a soccer coach who was formerly head men's soccer coach at the University of Louisville. He is also a writer and professional speaker. Lolla played collegiate soccer at Duke University and professionally at various US professional soccer teams. He has earned several accolades as both a player and coach. Player Lolla attended St. Rose High School in Belmar, New Jersey where he was a 1980 High School All-American; he also played on the U.S. Olympic Sports Festival teams in 1979 and 1983. Lolla went on to play collegiate soccer at Duke University from 1980 to 1983 where he was a three-time all-conference selection of the Atlantic Coast Conference and earned All-South and All-America in 1981 and 1983. The Evansville Purple Aces are the intercollegiate sports teams and players of the University of Evansville, located in Evansville, Indiana. The Aces athletic program is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference and competes at the NCAA's Division I level. Evansville's mascot is Ace Purple, and the school colors are purple, white and orange. Westfield, Indiana
Westfield is a city in Hamilton County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census the population was 30,068, and in 2020 the population was 46,410. 2018 Indiana Hoosiers Men's Soccer Team
The 2018 Indiana Hoosiers men's soccer team represented Indiana University Bloomington in men's college soccer during the 2018 NCAA Division I men's soccer season and 2018 Big Ten Conference men's soccer season. It was the 46th season the university fielded a men's varsity soccer program, and the 28th season the program played in the Big Ten Conference. During the regular season Indiana completed the league double by winning both the Big Ten regular season, and the 2018 Big Ten Conference Men's Soccer Tournament. Cherif Dieye (born 11 January 1997) is a Senegalese football player who plays as a Winger (association football), winger for USL League One club Forward Madison FC, Forward Madison. Tate Matthew Schmitt (born May 28, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club Houston Dynamo.
