2018 Jönköping Regional Election
Jönköping County or Region Jönköping held a Regional councils of Sweden, regional council 2018 Swedish local elections, election on 9 September 2018, on the same day as the 2018 Swedish general election, general and municipal elections. Results The number of seats remained at 81 with the Swedish Social Democratic Party, Social Democrats winning the most at 22, a drop of seven from 2014 Jönköping county election, 2014. There were 228,295 valid ballots cast. New party Bevara akutsjukhusen ("Maintain the emergency hospitals") became the largest party in Eksjö Municipality, Eksjö and Värnamo Municipality, Värnamo. Jönköping County () is a county or '' län'' in southern Sweden. It borders the counties of Halland, Västra Götaland, Östergötland, Kalmar and Kronoberg. The total county population was 356,291 inhabitants in September 2017. The capital and largest city is Jönköping. About one quarter of the total county population lives in the combined Jönköping-Huskvarna urban area around the southern point of Lake Vättern. Vaggeryd Municipality
Vaggeryd Municipality () is a municipality in Jönköping County in southern Sweden. The town Skillingaryd is together with Vaggeryd the seat of the municipality. Most of the municipal administration is, however, placed in Skillingaryd. The present municipality was created in 1971, when the two market towns ''Skillingaryd'' and ''Vaggeryd'' were amalgamated with parts of the rural municipalities of ''Klevshult'' and ''Vrigstad''.
