The 2017–18 Indonesian Basketball League is the third season of the Starting5 as a promoter of the league. The second foreign player draft was held on October 2, 2017. The regular season will begin on December 8, 2017 and end on February 25, 2018. The All-Star break will be on January 7, 2018 and will be held in Jakarta. Indonesian Basketball League
The Indonesia Basketball League (IBL; ) is the preeminent men's professional basketball league in Indonesia, founded by Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) in 2003. From 2010 to 2015 it was known as the National Basketball League (NBL) and organised by DBL Indonesia. In 2016, PT Bola Basket Indonesia acquired Starting5 and after that PT Bola Basket Indonesia assigned by PP Perbasi to organised the league. History Origin Basketball has a long history in Indonesia. Noted since the 1930s, although not yet officially an independent country, several cities in Indonesia have their own local clubs. Although it does not yet have a national sports parent, at the time of the holding of the first National Sports Week held in Solo in 1948, basketball had become one of the sports branches that was contested and was received quite lively both in terms of participants and spectators. Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta
Satria Muda Pertamina is an Indonesian professional basketball team currently playing in the Indonesian Basketball League. Based in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, it was Indonesia's representative team to the inaugural Asean Basketball League. History KOBATAMA era Founded by Doedi Gambiro on October 28, 1993, initially known as Satria Muda, it began play in the KOBATAMA since 1996, and advanced to the final four, but loses to Aspac Jakarta and only get the fourth places after losing to Bima Sakti Nikko Steel Malang, and get "the best newcomers" tribute award in 1996. So, in 1997, Satria Muda endorsed by The Coca-Cola Company's AdeS mineral waters, and the team identity has changed to AdeS Satria Muda.
