Group F of the 2018 FIFA World Cup took place from 17 to 27 June 2018. The group consisted of defending champions Germany national football team, Germany, Mexico national football team, Mexico, Sweden men's national football team, Sweden, and South Korea national football team, South Korea. Sweden and Mexico were the top two teams that advanced to the round of 16. The fifth round (also known as the ''Hexagonal'' or ''Hex'') of CONCACAF matches for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification was played from 11 November 2016 to 10 October 2017. Mexico, Costa Rica, and Panama qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, while Honduras advanced to the inter-confederation play-offs. The 1958 FIFA World Cup was the 6th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Sweden from 8 to 29 June 1958.
