2018 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship
The 2018 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship was the 19th edition of the Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship, an annual international volleyball club tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Myanmar Volleyball Federation (MVF). The tournament was held in Naypyidaw, Myanmar from 30 July to 6 August 2018. The champions qualified for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship instead of the 2017 champions Sarmayeh Bank Tehran, who withdrew from the 2018 Club World Championship. Qualification The 13 AVC member associations submitted their men's club to the 2018 Asian Club Championship. The 13 AVC member associations were from 4 zonal associations, including, Central Asia (5 teams), East Asia (4 teams), Oceania (1 team) and Southeast Asia (3 teams). Chinese Volleyball League
Chinese Volleyball Super League, often abbreviated to CVL (abbreviation remain unchanged), are the pre-eminent men's and women's professional volleyball leagues in China. It was founded in 1996 as the Chinese Volleyball League and is organized by the Chinese Volleyball Association (CVA), operating with China National Sports Group (CNSG). The league was rebranded to the Chinese Volleyball Super League when it became fully professional in 2017. The champions qualify for the Asian Men's and Women's Club Volleyball Championships. The women's league normally starts in November and ends in March of the following year, while the men's league starts in October and ends in February of the following year, lasting for about four months. Toray Arrows Men's Volleyball Club
is a men's volleyball team based in Mishima city, Shizuoka, Japan. They play in V.League Division 1. The owner of the team is Toray Industries. History The club was founded in 1947 in Ōtsu, Shiga Prefecture as Toyo Rayon Kurin Kai. They initially played nine-player volleyball. They moved to Mishima in 1964 and started to play six-player volleyball. They were described as the strongest team in the second-tier league but when they were promoted to the top-flight, they found themselves languishing in the wrong end of the table. However, since they returned to the Japan Volleyball League in the 1988-1989 season, they established themselves as a top-flight team.
