2018 Asian Games Closing Ceremony
The 2018 Asian Games closing ceremony was held on Sunday, 2 September 2018 at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta. It began at 19:00 Indonesia Western Time ( UTC+7) and ended at 21:25 local time. Like the opening ceremony, host event broadcasting company International Games Broadcast Services (IGBS) broadcast the ceremony live internationally. Vice President of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla, president of International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach, and president of Olympic Council of Asia Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah were among the dignitaries in attendance. Gou Zhongwen (; born 26 June 1957) is a Chinese politician who served as director of the State General Administration of Sports from 2016 to 2022. Biography Gou was born Zhenyuan County, Gansu province. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in April 1976, the year Mao died. He attended Xidian University with a degree in electrical engineering. A military tattoo is a performance of music or display of armed forces in general. The 2022 Asian Games (), officially the 19th Asian Games () and also known as Hangzhou 2022 ( zh, c=, s=杭州2022, labels=no), were a continental multi-sport event which was held from 23 September to 8 October 2023 in Hangzhou, China. The games marked the 110th anniversary since the creation of the first continental event, starting with the 1913 Far Eastern Championship Games. Originally scheduled to take place from 10 to 25 September 2022, on 6 May 2022 the Games were postponed to 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new dates were announced on 19 July 2022, with the Games remaining branded as Hangzhou 2022.
