2018–19 Monmouth Hawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Monmouth Hawks men's basketball team represented Monmouth University in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They played their home games at OceanFirst Bank Center in West Long Branch, New Jersey as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, and were led by 8th-year head coach King Rice. They finished the 2018–19 season 14–21 overall, 10–8 in MAAC play to finish in 6th place. As the 6th seed in the 2019 MAAC tournament, they defeated No. 11 seed Niagara in the first round 76–72, upset No. 3 seed Quinnipiac 98–92 in the quarterfinals, upset No. 2 seed Canisius 73–59 in the semifinals before losing to No. 1 seed Iona, 60–81 in the championship game. King Rice
King David Rice (born December 14, 1968) is an American basketball coach and former player. He is the head men's basketball coach at Monmouth University. Rice replaced Dave Calloway as head coach of the Hawks on March 29, 2011. Previously, Rice was also the head coach of the Bahamas national basketball team from 2001 to 2004. He is a native of Binghamton, New York, where he attended Binghamton High School from 1983 to 1987, and helped lead the basketball team to two state championships. He then starred at the University of North Carolina before becoming a coach. The Florida Atlantic Owls men's basketball team represents Florida Atlantic University and competes in the American Athletic Conference of NCAA Division I college basketball. Their home games are played on the Abessinio Court in the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena on the school's Boca Raton, Florida campus. Riverdale Baptist School (RBS) is a private Christian school located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, serving students from Pre-K to 12. It is located in Prince George's County, Maryland, and is accredited through Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools History Riverdale Baptist School was founded in 1971 as a daughter ministry of Riverdale Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Fitzpatrick. Mitchellville is a majority African-American unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. Per the 2020 census, the population was 11,136. History Mitchellville was named for John Mitchell (1788–1862), who owned Essington Hall, the plantation that encompassed much of the area.
