2017–18 Valparaiso Crusaders Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Valparaiso Crusaders men's basketball team represented Valparaiso University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Crusaders, led by second-year head coach Matt Lottich, played their home games at the Athletics–Recreation Center as first-year members of the Missouri Valley Conference. They finished the season 15–17, 6–12 in MVC play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the Missouri Valley tournament to Missouri State. Previous season The Crusaders finished the 2016–17 season 24–9, 14–4 in Horizon League play to finish in a tie for the Horizon League regular season championship. As the No. 2 seed in the Horizon League tournament, they lost to Milwaukee in the quarterfinals. Matt Lottich
Matthew Lottich ( ; born July 29, 1982) is an American basketball coach who was previously the head coach of the Valparaiso Crusaders men's basketball, Valparaiso University men's basketball team. He was named head coach on April 7, 2016, one day after Bryce Drew left the program. He was terminated as head coach on March 23, 2023. Lottich had been an assistant at Valparaiso since 2013. Lottich was hired as Associate Head Coach at Brown Bears men's basketball, Brown University in August 2024. After one season at Brown he was hired as assistant coach at Grand Canyon Antelopes men's basketball, Grand Canyon University. Career Lottich went to New Trier High School in Winnetka, IL where he was an all-state athlete in basketball, baseball, and as a quarterback in football. Nebraska Cornhuskers Men's Basketball
The Nebraska Cornhuskers men's basketball team competes as part of NCAA Division I, representing the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in the Big Ten Conference. Since it was founded in 1897, the program has appeared in eight NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, NCAA Division I tournaments and twenty other national postseason tournaments.
