2017–18 The Citadel Bulldogs Basketball Team
The 2017–18 The Citadel Bulldogs basketball team represented The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bulldogs were led by third-year head coach Duggar Baucom and played their home games at McAlister Field House as members of the Southern Conference, as they have since 1936–37. They finished the season 11–21, 5–13 in SoCon play to finish in eighth place. They defeated VMI in the first round of the SoCon tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to UNC Greensboro. Previous season The Bulldogs finished the 2016–17 season 12–21, 4–14 in SoCon play to finish tied for eighth place. They lost in the quarterfinal d of the SoCon tournament to top-seeded UNC Greensboro after defeating Western Carolina. Duggar Baucom
Robert Franklin "Duggar" Baucom (born September 21, 1960) is an American college basketball coach, most recently the head men's basketball coach at The Citadel. Baucom was hired as the Citadel's head coach following the 2014–15 season. He was previously the head coach at Virginia Military Institute. He's also served a coach at Tusculum, Davidson, Western Carolina and Northwestern State. At the conclusion of the 2017–18 season, Baucom's career record is 184–223 in Division I and 37–19 in Division II. Early life Baucom was born on September 21, 1960, and grew up around Charlotte, North Carolina. He attended North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville where he played basketball. Wade Hampton High School (Varnville, South Carolina)
Hampton County High School is a public high school within Hampton County School District, located between the towns of Hampton and Varnville, South Carolina, United States. The high school serves students in those communities in addition to students living in rural areas of northern and eastern Hampton County. The school served 719 students in the 2011–2012 school year. In August 2023, we have seen a significant change in the education scene of Hampton County. The well-known Wade Hampton High School has undergone a name change. This alteration is due to a merger with the neighboring Estill High School, leading to the formation of the new Hampton County High School. Dillard High School is a historic public middle and high school located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
