2017–18 Stetson Hatters Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Stetson Hatters men's basketball team represented Stetson University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hatters, led by fifth-year head coach Corey Williams, played their home games at the Edmunds Center in DeLand, Florida as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They finished the season 12–20, 4–10 in ASUN play to finish in seventh place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the ASUN tournament to Lipscomb. Previous season The Hatters finished the 2016–17 season 11–21, 3–11 in ASUN play to finish in a tie for seventh place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the ASUN tournament to Florida Gulf Coast. Corey Williams (basketball, Born 1970)
Corey Williams (born April 24, 1970) is an American retired professional basketball player and assistant coach for the Auburn Tigers of the SEC Conference. He is the former men's basketball head coach of Stetson University. A point guard from Oklahoma State University, Williams was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the second round of the 1992 NBA draft. He played one season with the Bulls, averaging 2.3 points in 35 games as a reserve on a team which won the NBA Championship. He then spent the 1993–94 season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, scoring 11 points in 4 games. He spent the majority of the 1994 season with the Oklahoma City Cavalry of the Continental Basketball Association. Williams was also selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the twelfth round of the 1992 NFL draft, despite not having played football since junior high. He never joined the Chiefs. Riverdale Baptist School (RBS) is a private Christian school located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, serving students from Pre-K to 12. It is located in Prince George's County, Maryland, and is accredited through Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools History Riverdale Baptist School was founded in 1971 as a daughter ministry of Riverdale Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Fitzpatrick. In its first year, RBS had an enrollment of 188 students in kindergarten through sixth grade and was renting facilities from a local Catholic school. The school expanded by purchasing 156 acres of land on Largo Road in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, in 1974. Blythewood is a town in Richland and Fairfield counties, South Carolina, United States; and a suburb of Columbia. As of the 2020 United States census, the population of the town was 4,772. History Blythewood was originally named "Doko", a Native American term for a watering place. Cardinal Newman High School is a diocesan, Roman Catholic middle and high school outside the city limits of Columbia, South Carolina. It is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston. History Originally Ursuline Academy, the school was originally attached to the Ursuline Convent, founded in 1858. The school was burned down by General Sherman's troops in 1865 during the burning of Columbia in the civil war, but was later rebuilt.
