2017–18 Saint Francis Red Flash Women's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Saint Francis Red Flash women's basketball team represented Saint Francis University (Pennsylvania), Saint Francis University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Red Flash's home games were played at the DeGol Arena. The team was a member of the Northeast Conference and was led by Joe Haigh, who was in his sixth year at the helm. They finished the season 24–10, 16–2 in NEC play to win the Northeast Regular Season Championship with Robert Morris. They were also champions of the 2018 Northeast Conference women's basketball tournament, NEC tournament and earned an automatic trip to the 2018 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament, NCAA women's basketball tournament, where they lost to the unbeaten 2017-18 Connecticut Huskies women's basketball team, UConn in the first round. Summerhill is a borough in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 490 at the 2010 census. History A small borough in the Allegheny Mountains in southwestern Pennsylvania, Summerhill was settled in the early 19th century and grew in large part from the regional presence of Allegheny Portage Railroad and the Pennsylvania Railroad. In 1794, Thomas and Barbara Croyle and their family were among the first to settle in the town. Their family homestead, a two-story stone structure that still stands, served the family as a fortress against Indian attacks.
