2017–18 Rugby Europe International Championships
The 2017–18 Rugby Europe International Championships is the European Championship for tier 2 and tier 3 rugby union nations. The 2017–18 season is the second of its new format and structure, where all Levels play on a one-year cycle, replacing the old format of a two-year cycle, with the teams playing each other both home and away. For all teams competing in the 2018 Rugby Europe Championship, Championship, except for Georgia, this year's edition of the Rugby Europe International Championships doubles as the second year of 2019 Rugby World Cup qualifiers for the 2019 Rugby World Cup – Europe qualification, European region, where the winner of the two-year cycle, excluding Georgia, automatically qualifies to the tournament as Europe 1. Yuri Kushnarev
Yuri Viktorovich Kushnarev (born 6 June 1985) is a Russian former rugby union player. He played as a fullback and/or as a fly-half. Kushnarev is the most capped Russia national rugby union team, Russian player as well as the top scorer for Russia national rugby union team, Russia. Having played one hundred and twenty times for his country, Kushnarev holds the List of rugby union test caps leaders, 24th most caps in international rugby. Marius Mitrea
Marius Mitrea (born 25 February 1982) is a rugby union referee who represents the Italian Rugby Federation. Born in Romania, Mitrea moved to Treviso, Italy in 1999 after he finished high school, where he learnt Italian, Spanish, French and English on top of his first Romanian language. While in Galați, Marius played for his local age-grade rugby team and continued with the sport once moved to Italy. In 2006 he took up refereeing, and in 2007 he refereed his first match, CUS Padova U15 vs Casale U15 in Padua. Professionally, Mitrea started refereeing in the National Championship of Excellence in 2009 and made the step up to European rugby during the 2011–12 Pro12 - his first match being Connacht vs Scarlets on 10 September 2011. Stadion am Bieberer Berg is a stadium in Offenbach am Main, Germany. It became the new home of Kickers Offenbach, when it replaced the "old" Stadion am Bieberer Berg. The first game played on the ground was a pre-season friendly between Kickers and Bayer 04 Leverkusen on 18 July 2012, with more than 15,000 fans attending. Frank Murphy (rugby Union)
Frank Murphy (born 2 December 1983) is a former professional rugby union player from Ireland who works as a referee for the Irish Rugby Football Union. He primarily played as a scrum-half. Originally from Cork, Murphy played for his native province of Munster before moving to the English side Leicester Tigers. Murphy began refereeing in the All-Ireland League in 2015, progressing to referee in the British and Irish Cup later that year. He began refereeing at international level in 2016, and has taken charge of games in the European Nations Cup. In November 2016, Murphy took charge of his first Pro12 game, and has since gone on to referee in the Challenge Cup at European level.
