2017–18 NC State Wolfpack Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team represented North Carolina State University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wolfpack, led by first-year head coach Kevin Keatts, played its home games at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina and were members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). They finished the season 21–12, 11–7 in 2017–18 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball season, ACC play to finish in a tie for third place. They lost in the second round of the 2018 ACC men's basketball tournament, ACC tournament to 2017–18 Boston College Eagles men's basketball team, Boston College. Kevin Keatts
Kevin Andre Keatts (born July 28, 1972) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head coach at NC State Wolfpack men's basketball, North Carolina State University. Early life and playing career Keatts grew up as an only child in Lynchburg, Virginia. His father was a masonry instructor at Amherst County High School, and Keatts worked as his apprentice on the weekends. He attended Heritage High School (Lynchburg, Virginia), Heritage High School and played point guard on their basketball team as well as quarterback on their football team. As starting quarterback, Keatts led the football team to be ranked the best in the state, losing only one game his entire career. He played basketball for Ferrum College, averaging 13.3 points per game by his senior year. 2017 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference and was held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York from March 7 to 11, 2017. Duke became the first team in history to win four straight games in the ACC Tournament and received the conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA tournament with a 75–69 win over Notre Dame. Seeds All 15 ACC teams participated in the tournament. The top nine teams receive first-round byes and the top four teams received double-byes to the quarterfinals. Baylor Bears Basketball
The Baylor Bears men's basketball team represents Baylor University in Waco, Texas, in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. The Bears compete in the Big 12 Conference. The team played its home games in Ferrell Center from 1988 until 2023. Baylor now plays its home games in the Foster Pavilion and is currently coached by Scott Drew. Maverick Rowan
Maverick Rowan (born July 14, 1996) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Pistoia Basket 2000 of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). He played college basketball for the North Carolina State University and participated in the 2017 NBA draft, but ultimately withdrew his name from the draft after the college deadline. Ted Kapita (born July 22, 1996) is a Congolese former professional basketball player. Standing at 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m), he played as forward. Kapita played for the NC State Wolfpack during the 2016–17 season. High school career A native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kapita came to the United States to play high school basketball. He attended Huntington Prep in West Virginia and the DME Academy in Florida, before enrolling at the North Carolina State University in 2016. BeeJay Anya
Chukwunonso Nduka "BeeJay" Anya (born March 9, 1995) is an American former basketball player. He played college basketball for the NC State Wolfpack. He was named Atlantic Coast Conference Sixth Man of the Year in 2015. Anya represented the United States youth team at the 2012 FIBA Under-17 World Championship, winning the gold medal. College career Anya played college basketball for NC State where he was best known for his shot blocking ability. During his sophomore season in a game against Jacksonville, he set the NC State school record for blocks in a single game with 10. In setting the record, Anya at one point recorded 4 blocks in a single possession.
