2017–18 Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers men's basketball team represented Mount St. Mary's University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mountaineers, led by sixth-year head coach Jamion Christian, played their home games at Knott Arena in Emmitsburg, Maryland as members of the Northeast Conference (NEC). They finished the season 18–14, 12–6 in NEC play, to finish in a tie for second place. As the No. 2 seed in the NEC tournament, they were upset in the quarterfinals by Robert Morris. On May 2, 2018, Jamion Christian left his alma mater to take the head coaching job at Siena. Jamion Christian
Jamion Christian (born April 18, 1982) is an American basketball coach. He is currently the head coach of the Bryant Bulldogs men's basketball, Bryant Bulldogs men's basketball team. He previously was the head coach at Siena Saints men's basketball, Siena, Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers men's basketball, Mount St. Mary's, and George Washington Revolutionaries men's basketball, George Washington. He was also the head coach for Pallacanestro Trieste in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA) from 2023 to 2025. Biography Christian was born and raised in Quinton, Virginia. As a shooting guard, he led New Kent High School to a Virginia High School League State Championship with a 26–0 record and earned the VHSL Group A State Player of the Year honors. The 2016–17 Robert Morris Colonials men's basketball team represented Robert Morris University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Colonials, led by seventh-year head coach Andrew Toole, played their home games at the Charles L. Sewall Center in Moon Township, Pennsylvania as members of the Northeast Conference. The Colonials also hosted two home games at PPG Paints Arena. They finished the season 14–19, 9–9 in NEC play to finish in a three-way tie for fifth place. Steve Lamont "Junior" Robinson jr (born February 15, 1996) is an American basketball player who last played for BBC Monthey-Chablais of the Swiss Basketball League (SBL). He played college basketball for Mount St. Mary's. He was born in Mebane, North Carolina. College career Robinson, a 5'5 guard, attended Eastern Alamance High School and scored 2,228 points in his career, 17th in North Carolina high school history.
