2017–18 Miami RedHawks Women's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Miami RedHawks women's basketball team represented Miami University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The RedHawks, led by first year head coach Megan Duffy, played their home games at Millett Hall, as members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 21–11, 12–6 in MAC play to finish in second place in the East Division. They advanced to the semifinals of the MAC women's tournament, where they lost to Central Michigan. They received an at-large bid to the Women's National Invitation Tournament, where they lost to Duquesne in the first round. Megan Duffy
Megan Duffy (born July 13, 1984) is an American women's basketball coach, currently the head coach at Virginia Tech. Previously, she had been the head coach with Marquette, before that the Miami RedHawks women's basketball team, an associate head coach with the Michigan Wolverines women's basketball team, George Washington Colonials women's basketball team, an assistant coach with St. John's Red Storm women's basketball team, and a professional basketball player in the WNBA, most recently playing for the New York Liberty. College playing career Duffy was born in Kettering, Ohio. After graduating from Chaminade-Julienne High School, a Catholic high school in Dayton, she attended college at University of Notre Dame and graduated in 2006 with a double major in Psychology and Computer Applications. Sylvania Northview High School
Sylvania Northview High School is a public high school located in Sylvania, Ohio. It is a part of the Sylvania City School District. Northview currently has 1,348 students and 86 teachers. It is the successor to Sylvania High School (19601976) and became Sylvania Northview in 1976 when a second high school in the district, Sylvania Southview, opened.
