2017–18 Men's Volleyball Serie A1
2017–18 SuperLega is the 73rd season of the Italian Championship (highest level of Italian Volleyball League) organized under the supervision of Federazione Italiana Pallavolo. This season is composed of 14 teams. The Italian Volleyball Super Cup, Super Cup preceded the regular season on October 7–8, 2017. Sir Volley, Sir Safety Conad Perugia won the Super Cup. Team Super Cup (Pre-season) Four teams participated in Italian Super Cup. Italian Volleyball League
The Lega Pallavolo Serie A is structured in several levels of importance; the highest of them is ''SuperLega'' (formerly ''Serie A1''). Since the early 1980s, many among the best volleyball players in the world play in Superlega and the overall level of competition is considerably high. Nowadays, the SuperLega is widely considered the best league in the world. Angelo Lorenzetti
Angelo Lorenzetti (born in Fano) is an Italian volleyball coach. He is the coach Italian Club Sir Safety Susa Perugia. Lorenzetti former coach Italy u21 team, Padova, Verona, Piacenza and Modena. He firstly in Fano, before moving on to lead various junior and youth National Teams of Italy. He took charge of Trentino in the summer of 2016 , replacing Radostin Stoychev, leading the side to the silver medal in the 2017 European CEV Cup. Under his guidance, Trentino were also runners-up in last year's Italian League and Italian Cup. Kioene Arena (formerly known as Palasport San Lazzaro, PalaBernhardsson, PalaNet and PalaFabris) is an indoor sports arena located in Padua, Italy. Miguel Ángel Falasca Fernández (29 April 1973 – 22 June 2019) was an Argentine-born Spanish professional volleyball player and coach. He was a member of the Spain national team from 1993 to 2009, a participant in the Olympic Games Sydney 2000, and the 2007 European Champion. Personal life Falasca was born in Mendoza, Argentina. His grandfather came from Italy. His father, Juan Carlos, was a retired volleyball player from Argentina, and his mother was a native Spaniard. At the age of 15, due to the unstable economic situation in Argentina, the Falasca family decided to move to Spain. Miguel, his sister María Elisa, his younger brother Guillermo, and his parents settled in Málaga. He eventually married Esther Custodio. They had two children: a daughter, Sara (born 2004), and a son, Daniel (born 2002). Andrea Giani (; born 22 April 1970) is an Italian professional volleyball coach and former player who serves as head coach for the France national team and the Polish PlusLiga team, ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Giani achieved numerous successes in the 1990s, including three World Championships with his national team. He was an all-rounder able to play both as an outside hitter and as a middle blocker, but he played several times as an opposite spiker too. The PalaDesio (full name: Palazzetto dello Sport di Desio, known for sponsorship reasons as PalaFitlineDesio) is an arena located in Desio, Lombardy, Italy. Opened in 1992, the arena – with a capacity of 6,700 or 8,000 depending on the layout – has hosted a number of sporting and artistic events, chief of which have been basketball and gymnastics.
