2017–18 Ivy League Men's Basketball Season
The 2017–18 Ivy League men's basketball season marked the continuation of the annual tradition of competitive basketball among Ivy League members. The tradition began when the league was formed during the 1956–57 season and its history extends to the predecessor Eastern Intercollegiate Basketball League, which was formed in 1902. Harvard and Pennsylvania co-shared the league title after finishing the regular season 12–2 within the Ivy League. Pennsylvania earned the league's bid to the 2018 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament after defeating Yale in the semifinals and Harvard in the finals of the inaugural conference tournament. Devin Cannady
Devin Cannady (born May 21, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for Panionios of the Greek Basket League. He played college basketball for the Princeton Tigers. Early life Cannady was introduced to basketball by his father, a former college player, who showed him tapes of Michael Jordan. He grew up playing Amateur Athletic Union basketball for MBA Select. Cannady played for Marian High School in Mishawaka, Indiana. As a junior, he averaged 21.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.9 steals per game. Olumiye Dimolu "Miye" Oni (born August 4, 1997) is an American-Nigerian professional basketball player for Criollos de Caguas of thBSN in Puerto Rico He played college basketball for the Yale Bulldogs. Ivy League Men's Basketball Player Of The Year
The Ivy League Men's Basketball Player of the Year is an award given to the Ivy League's most outstanding player. The award was first given following the 1974–75 season. There have been six players honored on two occasions: Craig Robinson, Kit Mueller, Jerome Allen, Ugonna Onyekwe, Ibrahim Jaaber and Justin Sears. No player has ever won the award three times. There have been three ties for player of the year in the award's history: in 1981–82 ( Paul Little of Penn and Craig Robinson of Princeton); in 1992–93 (Jerome Allen of Penn and Buck Jenkins of Columbia); and in 2019–20 ( Paul Atkinson of Yale and A. 2018 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament
The 2018 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 68 teams to determine the men's National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college basketball national champion for the 2017–18 season. Eastern Intercollegiate Basketball League
The Eastern Intercollegiate Basketball League was an athletic conference for men's college basketball, beginning with the 1901–02 season and ending with the 1954–55 season. Its membership ranged from four to eight members; all of these teams now compete in the Ivy League, which began play in 1955–56.
