2017–18 Indiana Hoosiers Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team represented Indiana University in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Archie Miller, his first year as Indiana head coach. The team played its home games at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana, as a member of the Big Ten Conference. The season officially kicked off with its annual event, Hoosier Hysteria, on October 21, 2017. For Miller, his first season at IU wouldn't be so much of a rebuilding job, as it would be a major remodeling job; starting with laying the foundation of a pack-line defense and valuing possessions. Archie Miller (basketball)
Ryan Joseph "Archie" Miller (born October 30, 1978) is an American men's college basketball coach for the Rhode Island Rams. Miller played point guard for North Carolina State from 1998 to 2002 and ended his career among the school's leaders in free-throw percentage, three-point field goal percentage, and total three-pointers. From 2011 to 2017, he was the head coach for the University of Dayton and won the conference regular season championship in 2016 and 2017, when he was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year. He left Dayton to be the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers in 2017, but was relieved of his duties after only four seasons following the conclusion of the 2020-2021 season. 2016–17 Wisconsin Badgers Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball team represented the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Badgers were led by second-year head coach Greg Gard and played their home games at the Kohl Center as members of the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 27–10, 12–6 in Big Ten play to finish in a tie for second place. Marion is a city in Grant County, Indiana, United States. The population was 29,948 as of the 2010 United States Census. The city is the county seat of Grant County. James Blackmon Jr. (born April 25, 1995) is an American basketball player who last played for Pınar Karşıyaka of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). He played college basketball for the Indiana Hoosiers. High school career Blackmon played three years at Bishop Luers High School and his senior year at Marion High School. In his senior season, he averaged 33.4 points and 4.2 three-pointers (47%), and broke his father's school record by scoring 54 points in a game. He ranks #9 on Indiana's all-time scoring list. Hank McCamish Pavilion, nicknamed The Thrillerdome and originally known as Alexander Memorial Coliseum, is an indoor arena located on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's basketball team represents the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in NCAA Division I basketball. The team plays its home games in McCamish Pavilion on the school's Atlanta campus and is currently coached by Josh Pastner.
