The 2017–18 season was Huddersfield Town's 109th year in existence and first season in the Premier League following promotion through the 2017 Championship play-off final. Huddersfield Town A
Huddersfield is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees in West Yorkshire, England. It is the administrative centre and largest settlement in the Kirklees district. The town is in the foothills of the Pennines. The River Holme's confluence into the similar-sized Colne is to the south of the town centre which then flows into the Calder in the north eastern outskirts of the town. The rivers around the town provided soft water required for textile treatment in large weaving sheds; this made it a prominent mill town with an economic boom in the early part of the Victorian era Industrial Revolution. Aaron Frank Mooy (; ; born 15 September 1990) is an Australian former professional soccer player who played as a midfielder. He is considered to be one of the great Australian midfielders and one of Huddersfield Town's greatest players in recent decades. Laurent Depoitre (born 7 December 1988) is a retired Belgian professional footballer who played as a striker. He made one senior appearance for the Belgium national team. Elias Kachunga (born 22 April 1992) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Cambridge United. Born in Germany, Kachunga represents the DR Congo national team.
