The 2017–18 Eliteserien is the 51st season of the Eliteserien, Norway's premier handball league. Eliteserien (women's Handball)
REMA 1000-ligaen is the premier women's professional handball league for Norwegian handball clubs. It is administered by the Norwegian Handball Federation, and the winners are recognized as Norwegian champions. It was established in 1968, and it is currently contested by thirteen teams. Larvik HK, which has dominated the competition in recent years, is the championship's most successful team with eighteen titles, followed by IL Vestar and Byåsen IL with nine and five respectively. The league has previously been known as eliteserien, Gildeserien, Postenligaen and GRUNDIGligaen. Currently the winner of the championship play-offs is granted a spot in the EHF Champions League's group stage. The twelve teams of the 2022–23 season. Vipers Kristiansand is the defending champion. Gjerpen Idrettsforening is a sports club in Skien, Norway. It was founded in 1918. Among the club's activities are handball, skiing and athletics. In handball the club's women's team has won the National championships several times. Notable players are Kjerstin Andersen, Hanne Hegh and Siri Eftedal. Hamar is a town in Hamar Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. Hamar is the administrative centre of Hamar Municipality. It is located in the traditional region of Hedmarken. Jotron Arena Larvik is an indoor arena in Larvik, Norway. It was opened in September 2009. The arena will be primarily used for handball, but the hall has additional permanent floor marks for basketball, volleyball and floorball. Larvik
Larvik () is a town and municipality in Vestfold in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Larvik. The municipality of Larvik has about 46,364 inhabitants. The municipality has a 110 km coastline, only shorter than that of neighbouring Sandefjord. The city achieved market town status in 1671. Drammenshallen
Drammenshallen is an indoor arena located in Drammen, Norway. It opened in 1978 and is primarily used for handball, and to a lesser extent, track and field, trade shows, exhibitions, and in the past major concerts. Drammen HK and Glassverket IF is currently the main tenant at the facility. The capacity is approximately 4,000 or 6,000 for concerts. History The hall was known for large concerts in the 1980s. Drammen () is a city and municipality in Viken, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway.
