2017–18 Divizia A (men's Handball)
The 2017–18 Divizia A was the 60th season of the Romanian men's Team handball, handball second league. A total of 21 teams contested the league, being divided in two series, Seria A (10 teams) and Seria B (11 teams). At the end of the season the first place from both series promoted to Liga Națională (men's handball), Liga Națională, the 2nd and 3rd places from both series played a promotion play-off together with 11th and 12th place from Liga Națională. Minaur Baia Mare (men's Handball)
Club Sportiv Minaur Baia Mare, commonly known as CS Minaur Baia Mare, Minaur Baia Mare or simply as Minaur, is a Romanian sports society from Baia Mare, Romania, founded in 1974 by Lascăr Pană, after he took over the old entity (''Minerul'') in 1970. The club went bankrupt during early 2010s and was re-founded in 2015. Men's Handball section The men's handball section of Minaur is one of the most prestigious and respected handball teams in Romania. Founded in 1974 by Lascăr Pană, men's handball section was the first one of the sports society and over the years won three Romanian Leagues, was ranked second on seven occasions and was on the podium in no less than 17 times. U Craiova 1948 Club Sportiv, commonly known as Universitatea Craiova (), CS U Craiova, or simply U Craiova, is a Romanian professional football club based in Craiova, Dolj County. It competes in the Liga I, the top tier of Romanian football. Initially founded in 1948 as the football section of the ''CSU Craiova'' sports club, it was part of the club until 1991, when its birth in the league championship was taken by FC U Craiova following privatisation. Between 1948 and 1991, Universitatea had won four national titles and five national cups. In the next two decades, FC U was reorganised several times and disaffiliated, which led to it being retroactively deemed an unofficial successor to the old entity. In 2013, the sports club reinstated its football department, which asserts the history and trophies of the original Universitatea Craiova.
