The 2017–18 season will be Bradford City's 115th season in their history, in the Football League and in the English football league system. Along with League One, the club will also compete in the FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018. Preseason As of 13 July 2017, Bradford City have announced seven preseason friendlies against Guiseley, Sunderland, Newcastle United, FC Halifax Town, Bradford Park Avenue, TV Echterdingen and Eccleshill United. Stuart McCall
Andrew Stuart Murray McCall (born 10 June 1964) is a professional football coach and former player. He is currently assistant manager of Preston North End. McCall played in a total of 763 league games and in 40 full international matches for Scotland during his playing career. McCall started his career with Bradford City, where he made his first-team debut in 1982. He played six seasons at Valley Parade, during which time he won the Division Three championship, a title which was overshadowed by the Bradford City stadium fire when 56 people died and in which his father Andy was injured. After missing out on promotion in 1987–88, McCall moved to Everton, for whom he scored twice but finished on the losing side in the 1989 FA Cup Final. In 1991, he moved to Rangers, with whom he spent seven seasons and won five league titles, three Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups. Omari Patrick
Omari Joshua Curtis Patrick (born 24 May 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger and forward for EFL League Two club Tranmere Rovers. He trained at the FAB Academy and started his career in non-League with Beaconsfield SYCOB. He signed his first professional contract with Kidderminster Harriers and signed for his first EFL club with Barnsley, before moving to Bradford City a season later, where he made his Football League debut. Early and personal life Patrick was born in Slough. His father is Commonwealth Games Gold-winning athlete Adrian Patrick, and his godfather is sprinter Linford Christie. Shay McCartan
Seamus Vincent McCartan (born 18 May 1994) is a Northern Irish footballer who plays as a forward for NIFL Premiership side Portadown. McCartan joined Burnley in May 2010 on a two-year scholarship, having previously played for Banbridge Town and Glenavon. He made his debut for the club in the Championship in April 2012 and spent the 2012–13 season on loan at Hyde. He joined Accrington Stanley on a free transfer in July 2013 and went on to play 126 matches over the next four seasons, scoring 24 goals. He was named as League Two Player of the Month in March 2017 and three months later was signed by Bradford City for an undisclosed six-figure fee.
