2017–18 Bengaluru FC Season
The 2017–18 season was Bengaluru FC's fifth season as club since its establishment in 2013. This was club's first season in Indian Super League. Background In 2016–17 season Bengaluru FC got mixed results. Club failed to defend their league title, finished fourth in the 2016–17 I-League, I-League. The club did well in the 2016–17 Indian Federation Cup, Federation Cup, won their second cup title in four years by defeating Mohun Bagan A.C., Mohun Bagan 2–0 in final. Bengaluru FC finished the season well by advancing to 2017 AFC Cup, AFC cup knock–out stage by beating Maziya S&RC in a must win game and keeping hope alive to better their previous seasons record in AFC Cup where Bengaluru FC finished runners–up. Bengaluru Football Club () (Kannada: ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು.ಎಫ್.ಸಿ) is an Indian professional football club based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The club competes in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The club was established on 20 July 2013, and began its first competitive season in the I-League on 22 September the same year. 2016–17 Indian Federation Cup
The 2016-17 Indian Federation Cup was the 38th and last edition of the Federation Cup, the main domestic football cup competition in India. From next season, a reformed Super Cup will take place. The top eight teams from the 2016–17 I-League season participated in the tournament hosted solely in Cuttack, Odisha. The tournament is set to take place between 7 May to 21 May 2017. Mohun Bagan are the defending champions. Unlike the previous season of the tournament which was held on a home–away basis, this edition will revert to the previous format in which one venue hosts the entire tournament. Erik Endel Paartalu (born 3 May 1986) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a defensive midfielder. He has played professionally in Scotland, Australia, China, Qatar, South Korea, Thailand and India. Club career NSL Paartalu began his career with Northern Spirit in the National Soccer League, after stints with the Spirit youth team and the New South Wales Institute of Sport. His NSL career at the Spirit was however limited to a single appearance as a substitute on 11 January 2004 against the Melbourne Knights. Amrinder Ranjit Singh (; born 27 May 1993) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Indian Super League club Odisha and the India national team. Early life and youth career Amrinder was born on 27 May 1993 in Mahilpur, Punjab, India. Juan Antonio González Fernández (born 27 April 1987), commonly known as Juanan, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. John James Johnson (born 16 September 1988) is an English footballer who plays as a defender. A graduate of the Middlesbrough youth academy, he made his debut for the club against Chelsea. A lack of first team opportunities saw him being loaned to Football League clubs Tranmere Rovers and Northampton Town. Udanta Singh Kumam (born 14 June 1996) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Indian Super League club Goa.
