The men's long jump at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Olympic Stadium (London), Olympic Stadium on . Summary In the final Jarrion Lawson took the lead with 8.37 metres on the fourth jump of the competition. Rushwahl Samaai jumped 8.25 metres on the next jump and the closest to Lawson was 2013 champion Aleksandr Menkov with 8.27 metres. But Menkov would not get in another legal jump. On the second jump of the second round Luvo Manyonga jumped 8.48 metres. Lawson jumped 8.43 metres two jumps later, 8.40 metres in the third round and 8.44 metres in the final round but couldn't reach Manyonga. Mitchell Watt (born 25 March 1988) is an Australian track & field athlete. His main event is the long jump and holds the current Oceania record for the long jump – 8.54m. He was the first ever Australian long jump medalist at a World Championship and was the silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Tsaghkadzor ( hy, Ծաղկաձոր) is a spa town and urban municipal community, as well as one of the most popular health resorts in Armenia, located north of the capital Yerevan in the Kotayk Province. Robert Emmiyan ( hy, Ռոբերտ Էմմիյան; born 16 February 1965 in Leninakan, Armenian SSR) is a retired long jumper who represented the USSR and Armenia. He is the fourth best long jumper in history and the best long jumper not of African descent. His personal best jump of 8.86 metres, which he achieved in Tsaghkadzor in May 1987, is the current European record. Emmiyan received the Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR award in 1987. Irving Jahir Saladino Aranda (born January 23, 1983) is a Panamanian former long jumper. He was Olympic champion, having won at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and is Panama's first and only Olympic gold medalist. He was world champion in the long jump in 2007.
