2017 Women's Lacrosse World Cup
The 2017 FIL Women's Lacrosse World Cup, the tenth World Cup, is the preeminent international women's lacrosse tournament. The tournament is being held at the Surrey Sports Park in Guildford, Surrey, in the South East of England, with 25 nations competing. Rathbones Investment Management plc committed as the title sponsor for the event in 2014. Introduction The 2017 Rathbones Women's Lacrosse World Cup is an official Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) event and will be organised and managed by the English Lacrosse Association. Surrey Sports Park
The University of Surrey is a public research university in Guildford, Surrey, England. The university received its royal charter in 1966, along with a number of other institutions following recommendations in the Robbins Report. The England women's national lacrosse team represents England at women's lacrosse. It is governed by the English Lacrosse Association. They were runners-up in the Women's Lacrosse World Cup twice, and have also hosted the tournament twice. The team came 3rd in the 2017 Women's Lacrosse World Cup, which has held in Oshawa, Canada.
