The 2017 West Coast Conference women's basketball tournament was held March 2–7, 2017, at Orleans Arena in the Las Vegas Valley community of Paradise, Nevada. Seeds were determined solely on conference record. Regular-season champion 2016–17 Gonzaga Bulldogs women's basketball team, Gonzaga added the tournament crown to its résumé, earning the conference's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament, 2017 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament. Orleans Arena
Orleans Arena is a 9,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Paradise, Nevada, in the Las Vegas Valley. It is located at the The Orleans, Orleans Hotel and Casino and is operated by Coast Casinos, a subsidiary of Boyd Gaming, Boyd Gaming Corporation. The arena is the home to the Vegas Rollers of World TeamTennis since 2019. It is also an occasional home for the UNLV Rebels basketball team when the Thomas & Mack Center is in use. The arena was the home of the Las Vegas Wranglers ice hockey team from 2003 to 2014, the Las Vegas Gladiators arena football team in 2007, as well as the Las Vegas Sin Legends Football League, women's football team. 2016-17 Pacific Tigers Women's Basketball Team
16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there were hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style. Only some years later around 1986 groups like Painkiller, Last Exit or The Flying Luttenbachers appeared . They played a similar mix of rough noise, heavily amplified instruments and free jazz inspired improvisation. 1983 to 1994 the group did a lot of tours and played many gigs all over Europe, Japan and USA. West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Tournament
The West Coast Conference women's basketball tournament is the annual concluding tournament for the NCAA college basketball in the West Coast Conference. The winner receives an automatic berth into the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship. The championship is broadcast nationally on ESPNU. Games were at campus sites from 1992 to 1994, then were played at the same location as the men's tournament, beginning in 1995. Beginning in 2012, the WCC adopted a new format to incorporate 2010–13 Mountain West Conference realignment#BYU, a ninth team (BYU Cougars women's basketball, BYU). In 2012 and 2013, the tournament started on Wednesday instead of Friday, and a first round 8 vs. 9 game was added. The winner of the 8/9 game played the 5 seed on Day 2 of the Tournament (Thursday). 2017 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2017 West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament was a postseason men's basketball tournament for the West Coast Conference held March 3–7, 2017 at the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Regular-season champion Gonzaga also won the WCC tournament, and with it the conference's automatic bid into the 2017 NCAA tournament with a 74–56 win over Saint Mary's in the finals. The WCC's eight-year tournament contract with Orleans Arena expired after the 2016 WCC tournament, with the WCC looking to potentially moving the tournament to a different Las Vegas-area venue (the MGM Grand Garden Arena or the T-Mobile Arena), keep it at the Orleans Arena, or move it elsewhere. Michael Francis Thibault (born September 28, 1950) is an American basketball head coach and basketball general manager. He is the head coach of the Belgium, Belgian women's national basketball team Belgian Cats since 2025. Before he coached the Connecticut Sun of the Women's National Basketball Association, WNBA, and the Washington Mystics. In 2013, Thibault became the all-time WNBA leader with his 212th head-coaching victory. Career He began his coaching career at Bellarmine College Preparatory, where he coached the freshman B team. Paul Benedict Sunderland (born March 29, 1952) is an American professional sportscaster who resides in Los Angeles, California. He worked as the indoor volleyball play-by-play announcer for NBC Olympics’ coverage of the 2016 Summer Olympics, and has worked for the NBC Sports Group covering the Olympics since the 1992 Summer Olympics.
