2017 Temple Mount Shooting
On 14 July 2017, three Arab-Israeli men left the Temple Mount (also known as the Noble Sanctuary), and opened fire on Israeli border police officers stationed near the Gate of the Tribes which is close to the Lions' Gate. Two Israeli border police officers were killed and two more were injured in the attack. All three attackers were shot and killed by Israeli police after fleeing back into the complex. Carlo (submachine Gun)
Carlo () (also referred to as ''Carl Gustav''; Arabic pronunciation: كارلوجستاف, "Karlu Justhaf") is an improvised submachine gun manufactured by small workshops in the Palestinian territories. The design was inspired by (and named after) the Swedish Carl Gustaf m/45 and its Egyptian ''Port Said'' variant, however the similarity is often only passing. The Carlo's homemade nature makes it affordable on the black market, where it is purchased not only by Palestinians targeting Israelis but also by Arab-Israeli gangs. The Carlo is cheap and requires little skill or equipment to manufacture, but it is inaccurate and prone to jamming and misfire. Channel 10 (), formerly known as Israel 10 (), was an Israeli free-to-air television channel. Sheikh Raed Salah Abu Shakra (; ; born 1958) is a Palestinian religious leader from Umm al-Fahm, Israel. He is the leader of the Northern Branch of the Islamic Movement in Israel.
