2017 Men's Softball World Championship
The 2017 ISF Men's World Championship is an international softball tournament that took place in Whitehorse, Canada from 7–16 July 2017. It was the 15th time the World Championship took place and the first time Whitehorse hosted the tournament. Pools composition Officials The ISF appointed 21 umpires from 12 national countries to facilitate matches of the tournament. Bob Stanton from Canada is named Umpire in Chief, and Wayne Saunders and Brian Van Os, both from Canada, were named assistant Umpire in Chiefs. The 2015 ISF Men's World Championship was an international softball tournament held in Saskatoon, Canada from 26 June-5 July 2015. It was the 14th time the World Championship took place and the third time Saskatoon hosted the tournament. 2019 ISF Men's World Championship
The 2019 WBSC Men's Softball World Championship is an international softball tournament taking place in Prague and Havlíčkův Brod, Czech Republic from 13–23 June 2019. It will be the 16th edition of the tournament. This marks the first time the World Championship was held in Europe. New Zealand is the defending champion. From 1966 to 2013 it was held every four years, first by the International Softball Federation (ISF) and from 2019 an onward it is held every two years by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), the 16 best teams in the world compete. Softball
Softball is a game similar to baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field. Softball is played competitively at club levels, the college level, and the professional level. The game was first created in 1887 in Chicago by George Hancock. There are two rule sets for softball generally: ''slow pitch softball'' and '' fastpitch''. Whitehorse, Yukon
Whitehorse () is the capital of Yukon, and the largest city in Northern Canada. It was incorporated in 1950 and is located at kilometre 1426 (Historic Mile 918) on the Alaska Highway in southern Yukon.
