2016–17 Xavier Musketeers Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team represented Xavier University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by eighth-year head coach Chris Mack, they played their games at the Cintas Center in Norwood, Ohio and were fourth-year members of the Big East Conference. Chris Mack (basketball)
Christopher Lee Mack (born December 30, 1969) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach at the College of Charleston. He formerly served as head coach for the Louisville Cardinals men's basketball, University of Louisville and Xavier Musketeers men's basketball, Xavier University. Background Chris Mack was born in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in North College Hill, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. Vanderbilt Commodores Men's Basketball
The Vanderbilt Commodores men's basketball team represents Vanderbilt University in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The Commodores have won three SEC regular-season titles (1965, 1974 and 1993) and two SEC Tournament championships (1951 and 2012). Trevon Nykee Bluiett (; born November 5, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for Limoges CSP of the LNB Pro A. He played college basketball for the Xavier Musketeers. High school career Bluiett attended Park Tudor School. At the school, Bluiett won three IHSAA state titles. Bluiett won two of his three state IHSAA titles with LA Clippers point guard Yogi Ferrell. He won his last state title with 2017 McDonald's All-American Game nominee Jaren Jackson Jr., son of NBA champion Jaren Jackson. Bluiett scored 2,568 points in his career, 6th-highest in Indiana high school history. In his senior season, he averaged 35.7 points and 11.4 rebounds per game.
