2016–17 Utah Utes Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Utah Runnin' Utes men's basketball team represented the University of Utah during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by sixth-year head coach Larry Krystkowiak. They played their home games at the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah as members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 20–12, 11–7 in Pac-12 play to finish in fourth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 tournament to California. They received an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to Boise State. Larry Krystkowiak
Larry Brett Krystkowiak ( ; born September 23, 1964) is a retired American professional basketball player, and former head coach of the Utah Utes men's basketball team. Early life Krystkowiak was born in Missoula, Montana, to Bernard and Helen Krystkowiak. At a young age, his mother always encouraged Larry to participate in sports. His mother died of Hodgkin's lymphoma when he was eight years old and his father remarried. He primarily grew up in Shelby, Montana, and his step-mother did not approve of Larry playing sports. At the age of 15, Larry moved out of Shelby and finished his high school career at Big Sky High School in Missoula. During this time he lived with his older brother Bernie, who became Larry's legal guardian. College career Krystkowiak played college basketball for the University of Montana from 1982 to 1986 and still holds the school records for career points scored (2,017) and rebounds (1,105). Brekkott Chapman
Brekkott Chapman (born April 7, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for the Kagawa Five Arrows of the B3 League. He played college basketball for Utah and Weber State. Early life and high school career Chapman attended Roy High School. As a senior, he averaged 19 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Chapman scored 16 points in the Florida vs. USA Hardwood Classic. He was heavily recruited, considered the No.49 player in the ESPN 100. On July 29, 2013, Chapman committed to Utah over schools such as Arizona, Gonzaga, UCLA and BYU. Utah Valley Wolverines Men's Basketball
The Utah Valley Wolverines men's basketball team is a team that represents Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, United States. The team is currently coached by Todd Phillips. The school's team currently competes in the Western Athletic Conference of NCAA Division I college basketball. Its home games are played in the UCCU Center on the school's Orem, Utah campus. Kenneth Ogbe
Kenneth Ogbe (born 16 November 1994) is a German professional basketball player for Hamburg Towers of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL). Early life Ogbe was born in Munich, the son of a Nigerian father and German mother. He grew up in Ehingen, Germany and played basketball for the youth team of Ehingen Urspring. He was named the MVP of the 2012 Arby's Classic after scoring 24 points with eight rebounds in the championship game as Ehingen became the first international team to win the tournament. College career Ogbe began his collegiate career at the University of Utah. He played in 30 games as a reserve and average 2.9 points and 1.1 rebounds per game during his freshman year.
